The Eurasian Economic Union has initiated an anti-dumping sunset review investigation into aluminum strips related to China

On June 30, 2025, the Internal Market Protection Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission issued Announcement No. 2025/444/AD28R2, stating that at the application of the industry associations of the Eurasian Economic Union, it initiated the first sunset review investigation on the anti-dumping of aluminum strips (Russian: alю м minieva я linta) originating from China and azerbaijan. This case involves products under tariff codes 7606 11910 0, 7606 12200 3, 7606 12200 8, 7606 12920 3 and 7606 12920 8 of the Eurasian Economic Union.
On May 7, 2019, the Eurasian Economic Union initiated an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum strips originating from China and Azerbaijan. On September 24, 2020, the Eurasian Economic Commission issued an announcement, imposing anti-dumping duties on aluminum strips originating from China and Azerbaijan for a period of five years in accordance with Resolution No. 115 of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated September 22, 2020. Among them, Chinese producer Nantong Hengjin Composite Material Co., Ltd. (Nantong hengjin composite material co., LTD.) and other Chinese producers accounted for 13.14%, and Azerbaijani producers involved accounted for 16.18%. The measures came into effect on October 24, 2020. Valid until October 23, 2025.
On November 29, 2023, the Eurasian Economic Commission launched an anti-circumvention investigation into aluminum strips in Azerbaijan. On August 28, 2024, the Eurasian Economic Commission issued a notice stating that in accordance with Order No. 102 of August 27, 2024, it has decided to apply the anti-dumping duty of 16.18% determined by Resolution No. 115 of September 22, 2020 to aluminum foil under Azerbaijan tariff code 7607 11 900 0.
