The United States made a preliminary anti-subsidy ruling on aluminum tableware

On October 22, 2024, the US Department of Commerce issued a notice to make a preliminary anti-subsidy ruling on imported Aluminum Containers (Disposable Aluminum Containers, Pans, Trays, and Lids) from China. Preliminary determination of the Henan Aluminium Corporation tax rate of 78.12%, Zhejiang Acumen Living Technology Co., Ltd. For non-participation, the tax rate is 312.91% and the tax rate for other producers/exporters in China is 78.12%. The U.S. Department of Commerce is expected to make a final countervailing ruling on March 4, 2025. This case involves products under US Customs Code 7615.10.7125.
On June 6, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce launched an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation into imports of aluminum tableware from China.
