Yuefeng Aluminum Co., Ltd. passed the Aluminum Management Initiative ASI Performance standard V3 certification

Yuefeng Aluminum Co., Ltd. has obtained ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) certification for its manufacturing of aluminum alloy building profiles and industrial profiles in Jiangsu Province, China.
The Aluminum Management Initiative (ASI) announced on October 29 that Yuefeng Aluminum Co., Ltd. has received ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) certification. The main production processes at the plant include aluminium extrusion, surface treatment (oxidation, spraying, electrophoresis) machining and packaging.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is a comprehensive voluntary sustainability standards initiative for the aluminum value chain. After a multi-year revision process, ASI Performance Standard V3(2022) was introduced in May 2022. Eleven principles and 62 guidelines are defined under the three sustainability pillars - environmental, social and governance - to address pressing sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain, such as biodiversity, indigenous rights, circularity and greenhouse gas emissions.
The independent third-party certification audit for Yuefeng Aluminum Co., Ltd. is performed by the Standards Technical Services Department of CS-CSTC. Page 5 of the Summary audit report provides a complete list of audit findings, outlining the evidence for conformance and minor non-conformance. The audit found 13 minor nonconformities, including: Guideline 2.3b Environmental and Social management Systems - Social, 2.7a-f emergency planning, 4.1a Environmental life cycle Assessment, 4.1b-c environmental life cycle assessment - Disclosure, 4.4a-c Collection and recycling of end-of-life products - Materials conversion and other manufacturing, 5.1-A-B GHG emissions and Energy Use Disclosure, 5.3-A-E GHG emission reduction Plan, 5.4 GHG emission Management, 6.5-A-C Waste management and reporting, 7.1-A-B Water Resources Assessment and Disclosure, 9.8-a conflict-affected and high-risk areas - Strong management system, 10.8a-c Hours of work and 11.1b-e Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management System - Review and Disclosure. During the certification period, Yuefeng Aluminum Co., Ltd. will implement a corrective action plan and verify it in subsequent audits.
