Yuefeng Aluminum collaborates with Maxion to develop an aluminum battery housing solution for electric vehicles.

According to foreign media reports, Yuefeng Aluminum has partnered with Maxion Structural Components to create an aluminum battery housing solution for commercial electric vehicles (EVs).
This product is made from a new type of stamping and rolling alloy. This alloy offers a lighter battery compartment structure - compared to the extruded aluminum housing with the same technical requirements, the weight is reduced by approximately 35% - and the energy density is increased by 11%.
The new battery housing is called Maxion InVolt and can be adapted to different types of vehicles, from light commercial vehicles to heavy commercial vehicles. It is mainly targeted at large vehicles such as buses and trucks.
This solution serves the global market, especially the North American market.
