On September 29, 2025, Yuefeng Aluminum Group officially announced the signing of an overall framework agreement with ALUPCO, an aluminum profile producer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The total investment of this strategic cooperation will reach 500 million US dollars, and it is planned to build the largest and most fully functional aluminum processing industrial base in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on core businesses such as aluminum profile production, modular buildings and solar panel frames.
As the demand for aluminium products in the Middle East continues to grow, both sides will integrate their respective advantages and expertise to build a brand-new aluminium processing industrial base in Saudi Arabia and adopt advanced sustainable development technologies to explore the local market. This cooperation fully embodies the goals advocated by China's "Belt and Road Initiative", such as strengthening trade ties, promoting economic diversification, and advancing regional green technology development. This move also aligns with the strategic priorities of Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030", which focuses on the manufacturing sector of the aluminum processing industry, transforming primary aluminum processing into finished products and comprehensive solutions that meet market demands, while promoting cross-regional connectivity and technology transfer. The signing ceremony was grandly held in Hong Kong. Many senior officials from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Saudi Arabian government were present. Including Mr. Lau Chun-kit, JP, Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), Mr. Ho Lai-chi, Commissioner for the Belt and Road Initiative of Hong Kong, and Mr. Mahmoud Al-Asmari, Director of the Minerals and Metals Department of the National Industrial Development Centre (NIDC) of Saudi Arabia, as well as many industry leaders, were present to witness the event.
The general manager of Yuefeng Aluminum Group said, "We are very glad to cooperate with ALUPCO. ALUPCO is a company that, like us, pursues innovation and is committed to becoming a market leader." We will jointly build the largest aluminum processing industrial base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, continuing and replicating the world-class industrial development model that Yuefeng Aluminum Group pioneered in China over three decades ago. This new platform will precisely seize the huge growth opportunities in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and even the United States markets. This cooperation not only validates the increasingly deepening partnership between China and Saudi Arabia, but also becomes a key driver for the future development of the aluminum processing industry in the region.
It is understood that the new industrial base is located in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, with a planned area of 1.5 million square meters (150 hectares). At that time, it will create more than 1,800 jobs and inject strong impetus into the local economy.
The base will build the following production facilities. The production capacity of each of the following aluminum processing products is the largest in the Middle East:
Aluminum profiles: The total annual production capacity of the project reaches 200,000 metric tons and it will become the largest aluminum profile manufacturing base in the region at present.
Solar panel frame: With an annual production capacity of 30 million sets, it is sufficient to support approximately 25GW of new solar projects.
Modular Building (MiC) : With an annual production capacity of 30,000 residential modules, it provides innovative building solutions for the local market.
