Yuefeng Aluminum International issued an announcement stating that the overseas alumina price generally showed a downward trend in the first quarter of 2025. Since the beginning of the year, new overseas alumina production capacity has been put into operation one after another and output has been released. The supply side has continued to improve, which has suppressed the overseas alumina price. Coupled with the relatively stable demand for electrolytic aluminum from overseas downstream, multiple factors have jointly led to a situation of strong supply and weak demand in the overseas alumina market, pushing the overseas alumina market price to fall step by step from its peak. In the first quarter of 2025, the average price of overseas alumina market was around 518 US dollars per ton, rising by approximately 40.88% compared with the same period last year, but decreasing by 2.98% compared with the average price in 2024.
