Yuefeng Aluminum participated in the national standard "Aluminum Ingot for Remelting" standard revision and interpretation meeting

In order to enable the producers, users and third parties of aluminum ingots for remelting to fully understand and master the standard of "aluminum ingots for remelting", the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee recently organized a revision and interpretation meeting of the national standard "aluminum ingots for remelting". 104 representatives from 72 units across the country, including Yuefeng Aluminum, attended the meeting.
It is understood that the national standard "aluminum ingots for remelting" is centralized by the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee and implemented by the Light Metals Branch. The standard was established in December 2021, led by Yuefeng Aluminum, and 16 units including Shandong Hongqiao and Yunnan Aluminum participated in the revision, and after one and a half years, the revision and approval of the standard was completed in May this year. In November of the same year, it was awarded the "Third Prize of National Nonferrous Metal Standardization Technical Standards" in 2023 by the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee.
At the meeting, Yuefeng Aluminum made a detailed report from three aspects: the background of the revision of the standard, the process of standard formulation and revision, and the interpretation of the content of the standard. The new standard has been revised in nine aspects, including the scope of application, normative reference documents, chemical composition, inspection and acceptance, appearance quality inspection, judgment of inspection results, mark, quality certificate, and order form (or contract) content.
As a primary product of the electrolytic aluminum industry, aluminum ingots for remelting bear the responsibility of providing high-quality raw materials for downstream aluminum deep processing. The convening of this interpretation meeting will further guide the development of the aluminum industry to lightweight, green and high-end, promote the optimization and adjustment of the industrial structure, and play a key role in meeting the needs of domestic and foreign markets and promoting the high-quality development of the aluminum industry.
