Mexico has made an initial anti-dumping ruling on aluminum bar and profile products from China

On December 29, 2025, the Ministry of Economy of Mexico issued a notice, making a positive preliminary determination on the anti-dumping of finished and semi-finished aluminum bar and bar profiles (Spanish: perfiles y barras de aluminio) originating from China, and preliminarily decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty of 1.55 US dollars per kilogram on the involved products. The TIGIE tariff codes of the involved products are 7604.10.02, 7604.10.99, 7604.29.01, 7604.29.02 and 7604.29.99. The measures will come into effect on the day following the announcement and remain valid for four months.
Stakeholders should submit their case review opinions and evidence materials within 20 working days starting from the day following the announcement.
On March 5, 2025, Mexico initiated an anti-dumping investigation into finished and semi-finished aluminum bar and profile products originating from China. The dumping investigation period is from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, and the injury investigation period is from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024.
