The high-precision aluminum plate, strip and foil project in Lanzhou New Area has started construction

On the morning of September 26th, the high-precision aluminum plate, strip and foil project in Lanzhou New Area officially broke ground. The total investment of this project is approximately 2.499 billion yuan. It is expected that after its completion and commissioning in 2026, the average annual operating income will reach 2.6 billion yuan. This will comprehensively drive the accelerated aggregation of upstream and downstream enterprises in the aluminum foil industry chain in the new district, providing a solid support for the new district to strengthen and expand its new materials industry.
The high-precision aluminum plate, strip and foil project in Lanzhou New Area is constructed by the New Area Energy Science Group, with an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of high-precision aluminum plate, strip and foil products. The first phase of the project mainly involves the construction of 60,000-ton high-precision aluminum sheet and strip production lines, 15,000-ton wide-width ultra-thin aluminum foil production lines, and 15,000-ton new energy battery aluminum foil production lines. These lines feature high technological content and the products will be widely applied in high-end fields such as new energy vehicles, consumer electronics, energy storage, and aseptic packaging. This project fully integrates the strength and technological advantages of Lanzhou New Area Nengke Group, as well as the industrial cluster advantages and green energy advantages of the new area. It will attract upstream and downstream enterprises such as new energy batteries, photovoltaic modules, and food packaging to accelerate their layout in the new area, promoting the extension of the industrial chain to the high end and the increase of the value chain to high added value, and building an innovative aluminum industrial cluster for the new area. Build a complete industrial chain, enhance regional industrial competitiveness, and inject strong impetus into high-quality development.
