Two technologies of Yuefeng Aluminum Research Institute were selected as "Top Ten Green and Low-carbon Advanced Applicable Technologies in Non-ferrous Metal Industry"

Recently, the China Non-ferrous Metal Industry Association and the National Energy Conservation Center released ten "non-ferrous metal industry green low-carbon advanced applicable technologies". Two technologies declared by Yuefeng Aluminum Research Institute were successfully selected.
"New stable current thermal insulation aluminum electrolytic cell energy saving technology" by carrying out cathode steady current, voltage balance, heat balance and process parameter optimization, improve the magnetic fluid stability of aluminum electrolytic cell, reduce the aluminum liquid interface deformation and horizontal current, release the effective pole distance, reduce the cell voltage, and improve the current efficiency. The technology has been widely used in the domestic mainstream aluminum electrolyzer (180kA-500kA) series. In the past three years, it has saved 1.67 billion kWh of electricity, reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 1.251m tons, and achieved significant economic and social benefits.
"Pre-baking anode technology without carbon slag" is the first key technology for the production of aluminum electrolysis without carbon slag. Through innovative technologies such as "precise dosing - asphalt optimization - high-density homogenization - three-temperature quantization optimization", the technical problem of not extracting carbon slag in complex electrolyte system is solved. Since the popularization and application of the technology, a total of 8.46 million tons of electrolytic aluminum has been produced, reducing more than 60,000 tons of carbon slag and more than 300,000 tons of carbon emissions.
In the next step, Yuefeng Aluminum Research Institute will accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of the non-ferrous metal industry, help the high-quality development of the non-ferrous metal industry, and contribute to the construction of green and low-carbon "Yuefeng Aluminum".
