On the evening of June 26, 2025, at 7 p.m., Xiaomi Group held the "Xiaomi People, Cars and Home Full Ecosystem Release Conference" in Beijing. At the meeting, Xiaomi released several major products, including its first SUV model, YU7, etc.
As an important part of Xiaomi's auto ecosystem layout, the YU7 is the first SUV model launched by Xiaomi Auto and also the second mass-produced model released by Xiaomi Auto after its first sedan, the SU7.
The Xiaomi YU7 adopts an integrated die-cast aluminum triangular beam and a three-section large die-cast rear floor. These designs significantly enhance the body strength and safety. The Xiaomi Auto Super Factory has self-developed die-casting alloy materials and a giant die-casting machine with a clamping force of 9,100 tons, making the rear floor size of the Xiaomi YU7 17% larger than that of the Tesla Model Y. This integrated die-casting technology reduces the number of parts and solder joints, enhances production efficiency and vehicle service life, and simultaneously lowers maintenance costs.
Specifically, the integrated die-cast aluminum triangular beam and the three-section large die-cast rear floor of the Xiaomi YU7, combined with Xiaomi's super-strong steel and AI model-optimized formula, further enhance the strength and safety of the vehicle body. This design is not only innovative in the field of automotive manufacturing, but also indicates a new trend of lightweighting and safety in the automotive manufacturing sector.
