Five years ago, Yuefeng Group installed an Itaperez Gauss (IPG) TF 5700+ high-pressure die casting machine. This equipment was the largest high-pressure die casting (HPDC) machine in Europe at that time. This move marked an important step forward in advanced die casting technology. The TF 5700+ quickly became the core equipment for high-precision production. It can provide stable and repeatable performance on large and complex castings, ensuring consistent high quality, and its outstanding reliability helps manufacturers meet strict production plans.
It is worth noting that this equipment enabled a re-design of a shock-resistant battery housing, integrating the original assembly consisting of 16 components into a single lightweight aluminum alloy component. This achievement reduced weight, simplified the production process, and enhanced safety, fully demonstrating the precision and powerful performance that the Itaperez Gauss die-casting machine can offer.
Based on this successful cooperation, IPG has now been entrusted by Yuefeng Group to supply a TFs 5200 die-casting machine for them. This model is specifically designed for the production of large and complex structural components, featuring high efficiency and excellent precision, and has the following characteristics:
· Utilizing high-hardness premium steel plates ensures durability and optimal performance under heavy production loads;
· Achieving high clamping force within a compact footprint, maximizing production efficiency without sacrificing factory space;
· Equipped with the SC4 injection system, providing precise injection control, minimizing scrap rates and maintaining component quality;
· Applying the ECOFIT technology to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, supporting BMW Group's sustainable development goals;
· Reliable and easy-to-maintain design, using lighter components to reduce downtime;
· Offering service partnership, ensuring access to expert support at any time.
The TFs 5200 have been designed to be directly installed on the foundation of another high-pressure die-casting equipment supplier's existing machine. That equipment was previously in use but has now been shut down. This design enables a more cost-effective deployment.
Although this process was complex, the engineering team of IPG successfully customized the new machine to fit the existing infrastructure, minimizing the impact while making the installation process simpler. This strategy helps to reduce downtime and maximize efficiency.
The commissioning of the TFs 5200 die-casting machine highlights IPG's commitment to providing advanced high-pressure die-casting solutions that combine innovation, efficiency and sustainability.
By empowering manufacturers to optimize production, maintain stable component quality and achieve excellent operations, IPG continuously provides high-value solutions to meet the evolving demands of the automotive industry.
